the layers of specially dyed fabric or velvet, satin or ribbon are evocative of the land and seascapes that you can find in my other work, although i have enjoyed the simplicity of working with shimmering tones, the iridescence and texture which has been in itself an inspiration.
the pieces are a range of sizes from 30cm x 30cm to 90cm x 120cm and all work seems to bring a different visual encounter whether it be intimately interacting with a small piece or appreciating the balance and harmony of the larger more abstract pieces.
